Vandy + Snow = Epic.

So i felt like it was necessary to make a post about this wonderful snow! Being from the South, i am not at all accustom to this amount of white stuff on the ground. Rarely, if ever, do we get snow which i use to think was a bad thing. But after enjoying the snow so much yesterday, i've realized its actually a blessing. If we always had snow, we wouldn't appreciate it so much. Because we don't get it often, snow becomes so special. Yesterday, Nat and I went on an adventure i the snow. We did all the snow-time activities: snowball fight, snow angels, and sledding. Sledding was probably the most fun of all the snow-y things we did. It began with us securing two cafeteria trays to use as sleds. Then we joined a bunch of other freshman on what is the only hill in the commons. I'll admit, at first i was afraid of the steepness of this small hill. But we soon conquered our fears and thoroughly enjoyed sledding down the slope! Our only semi-failure was when we decided it'd be fun to go down with linked arms. Fact, this was actually a bad idea. It ended with Nat and I tumbling at the bottom of the hill. It was only a little bit painful. Then we found the most pristine patch of snow and made snow angels! It was so much fun! We also wrote the ginger's phone number in the snow for anyone who was interested. Gosh, we are such good friends. Later, we treked through the snow to a nearby restaurant. There, we enjoyed a huge, yummy dinner with one of the most interesting waiters i've ever encountered. All this to say, snow day 2010 was hugely successful !!!! I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did! I love the Saturday after the snow day because it feels like the only natural response to the snow outside is to hibernate in one's room with coffee, movies, blankets, and books. So have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

  1. WOOHOO!!! way to mazimize the fun of snow. I'm jealous because the snow and I got off to a rocky start when Katie and I were driving in it and almost died... however, I would consider it an "epic" event. luvvvin the blog
