US leads in gold!!

With 20 medals, the US is leading in medals across the board with our next competitor being Germany with 11 medals!! The USA has done awesome in the past two days! With Evan Lysacek beating out Russia's Evgeni Plushenko in the men's figure skating, we took gold in an event that hasn't been ours in a long time!! In women's downhill skiing, Lindsay Vonn took gold while the US took silver as well in the event! Also, scoring a 46.8 on his first run the Flying Tomato made his second run in the snowboarding halfpipe knowing he had already won the gold! While the US took silver with GO Scott Lago! Shani Davis won gold in the men's 1000m speed skating and Apollo Ohno won silver in the short track! Basically it has been a major success for the US in these past couple of days and with Ice Dance coming on tonight, I know that the TV will be tuned to channel 10 in room 720 for the night!!

Coming up: The Men's hockey team plays Switzerland on the 21st and they have been doing great in the pre-lims so it should be a good match! Also, tonight in ice dance, there are two American couples that might have a chance at a medal!! Watch out for 2006 silver medalists Belbin and Agosto and crowd favorite Davis and White!! Also on the 21st watch out for medal events in bobsledding, alpine skiing, and freestyle skiing! GO USA!!!
